“I am a refugee. I did not know anyone and was without resources, but God directed me to Running on Faith. ROF is very important to me. I met Andie at The Olive Branch Shelter and I was invited into The Running on Faith Project. When I arrived I was very stressed, exhausted and disappointed but Andie welcomed me with a big smile. ROF and Andie have supported me, encouraged me, and helped me to run. She is the sister I never had. My life has changed.

— Armando ROFP member

“The ROFP was a huge help with my mental health. It was also a great way to start the day; accomplishing something challenging in an encouraging community and boosting endorphins that kept me energized throughout the day.”

— Summer, outreach worker

“I have seen how Running on Faith has transformed many peoples lives in such a positive way and while bringing so many people in the community together from all different walks of life.”

-Maisie, outreach worker

It was an honour to be a part of the inaugural 8 week learn to run (or walk) group hosted by the Running on Faith Project. Andie from ROFP is that light at the end of the tunnel we all need; with her gratitude, compassion and love for all, she makes everyone feel like they are important and a part of the ROFP community.  Whether you're staying at a shelter, working for a shelter, or just wanting to move your body with others, the ROFP provides a positive space that helps individuals move forward mentally, emotionally and physically! AS MOVEMENT IS THE BEST MEDICINE!

The Running on Faith Project has given me something to look forward to every day. Andie has helped me with a lot of things past taking us for walks. She has helped me to celebrate the life of my mother and my birthday. I like that the walks gives us the opportunity to exercise, walk and spend time with Willie.
